Where to get quality prints and gallery wraps

I have used a bunch of printing companies. Everything from online to local printing shop. Here is a list of a few places you can print your photos.
WHCC- Amazing quality, good prices, fast shipping, need to set up an account.
Fine Art America- Good quality, 30 day money back guarantee, slow shipping unless you pay for faster shipping services. A bit expensive on the prints.
Costco and Sam's Club- Pick up at your nearest location, ok quality, cheap prices,no shipping wait with the local pickup.
All in all I would recommend WHCC over any of the other printing companies. They have great customer service, amazing quality, variety of printing papers, gallery wraps, and mounting options and fast shipping.

Selling Your Photography Services

What is the best way to reach your potential clients for photography. First of all you need an online portfolio of your work. So a website or blog page that people can go to and check out what your photography is all about. For example here is my website. bradscottphoto.com.

You need to post adds whether it be on craigslist, the local newspaper in your area. Hand out business cards. (You can get them made cheaply at VistaPrint.com.)Go to events and don't be afraid to network with other photographers. Sometimes photographers get overbooked and might send some of there clients to you.

Its all about marketing yourself. Also a facebook fanpage is one of the most searchable sites on the internet. If you set up a fan page you can also do adwords on facebook which go out to a highly targeted audience in specific areas that you designate. You can say I want this ad to go to engaged women, within 25 miles of my zipcode that are between the ages of 24 and 30. That way you are not wasting your money marketing say wedding photography to people that aren't even close to getting married.

Photography is about 80% business and marketing and 20% taking photos.
Just be approachable and get your self out and about.
I work as a bouncer at a bar at night so I can meet new contacts without spending money to go out. Its an awesome bar in san juan capistrano called the Swallows Inn.
Just think of fun ways to meet people and get your name in the back of peoples heads.
Hope this helps

How to sell your photography on Ebay

I have had a lot of questions about selling photography on Ebay.
Now what you have to understand is that Ebay has some of the most buyers
out of any site on the internet.
Ebay has categories and you just have to know
how to use those categories to match what kind of photo or art you are trying to
sell. Now most of the photography I sell is fine art photography. I sell landscapes,
underwater, cityscapes and seascapes. But my number one selling category are Waves.

My Wave photos and ocean photos are what I am known for. You just have to find your niche.
I have found that the prints category under art on Ebay has more viewers than photography.
You must remember that when people are buying something to hang on there wall be it photographic prints or not they will think of it as ART. Not nearly as many people will search for photography when they are looking for art to hang in there homes. Unless they search for a photographer that they already know does fine art like maybe Ansel Adams.

One thing about selling your photography on ebay is that you will need to start your prices low. Now this is hard for some people. If your used to selling your photos in art galleries and doing art shows you might find this a tough thing to do. But the fact is people will want to see your feedback score. If you have a feedback of say 5 how are they going to know that the photos they receive is good quality. You need to build up your reputation on Ebay and have people trust you.

The cheapest and easiest way to do this is start out with small print sizes. Offer upgrades in the description of the item saying if you would like to upgrade this print to a larger size hear art the sizes and here are the added prices.
A good size to start out with is 8x10 for in betweet $10-$20.

Look for more to come about setting up Ebay Stores and Information about the different auction formats including auction, store inventory and fixed price.
