How to sell your photography on Ebay

I have had a lot of questions about selling photography on Ebay.
Now what you have to understand is that Ebay has some of the most buyers
out of any site on the internet.
Ebay has categories and you just have to know
how to use those categories to match what kind of photo or art you are trying to
sell. Now most of the photography I sell is fine art photography. I sell landscapes,
underwater, cityscapes and seascapes. But my number one selling category are Waves.

My Wave photos and ocean photos are what I am known for. You just have to find your niche.
I have found that the prints category under art on Ebay has more viewers than photography.
You must remember that when people are buying something to hang on there wall be it photographic prints or not they will think of it as ART. Not nearly as many people will search for photography when they are looking for art to hang in there homes. Unless they search for a photographer that they already know does fine art like maybe Ansel Adams.

One thing about selling your photography on ebay is that you will need to start your prices low. Now this is hard for some people. If your used to selling your photos in art galleries and doing art shows you might find this a tough thing to do. But the fact is people will want to see your feedback score. If you have a feedback of say 5 how are they going to know that the photos they receive is good quality. You need to build up your reputation on Ebay and have people trust you.

The cheapest and easiest way to do this is start out with small print sizes. Offer upgrades in the description of the item saying if you would like to upgrade this print to a larger size hear art the sizes and here are the added prices.
A good size to start out with is 8x10 for in betweet $10-$20.

Look for more to come about setting up Ebay Stores and Information about the different auction formats including auction, store inventory and fixed price.
